About the brewery:
Zichovec is currently the largest craft brewery in the Czech Republic. It is run by the Husák family—a father and his sons. They started out as a restaurant brewery in the village of Zichovec, near the town of Slaný. However, thanks to the quality of their beers, they managed to attract customers from all over the region. Today, the Zichovec brewery brews beer in a renovated facility on the site of a former tank firing range on the outskirts of Louny, where they produce around 120 varieties of beer annually. The brewery is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a can filling line, which helps keep the beer fresh longer. Its capacity is also utilized by a number of microbreweries, with which Zichovec often collaborates on batches. Their most popular beer among lagers is Magor, and among the specials, it is undoubtedly the NEIPA Nectar of Happiness, which was rated the best beer in the Czech Republic in 2019 by Untappd.com. Zichovec keeps up with all the latest trends and has also successfully launched a barrel-aged program.
