About the brewery:
The brewery in Unetice was founded in 1710. This is inferred from the year, which is carved into the foundation pillar in the premises of the malt house, where the brewery taproom is located today. Increasing pressure from competition at the beginning of the 20th century caused problems for the brewery. The company never recovered from World War I. Another blow came with the Protectorate and around 1942 the brewery was preserved. In 1948, however, the ownership of the Metropolitan Chapter at St. Welcome and the administration from Staropramen in Smíchov was installed in Unetice. The brewery was still included in the association of Rakovnik -Kladno breweries, but in March 1949 it definitively stopped production. In March 2010, under the leadership of Mr. and Mrs. Tkadlec from nearby Roztok u Prahy, the project for the "Rebirth of the Unetice brewery" began to be prepared, and be sure to taste the result!
