About the brewery:
Timmermans' predecessors have been brewing lambics in Itterbeek since 1702. The brewery was founded in 1814 by Jakobus Walravens. It is located in the Senne Valley, a few kilometers from the center of Brussels. Lambic, Faro, and Meerts from the Walravens brewery were mentioned in 1866 in the official record of a public auction held in Brussels. The brewery changed its name in 1920 after Walravens' youngest daughter, Celina, married Frans Timmermans. The brewery has been part of the John Martin Group since 1993. Today, Timmermans beers are exported all over the world and have won numerous awards at prestigious international competitions.
