About the brewery:
Theakston is a family-owned brewery founded in 1827 in the picturesque town of Masham, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, and is still run today by the sixth generation of the Theakston family. Today, the brewery is best known for its legendary Old Peculier, which has earned a reputation as one of Britain’s most iconic ales and is exported worldwide. Nevertheless, the brewery retains a strong artisanal character—it brews in a historic Victorian brewery and is one of the few to maintain its own cooperage, where barrels are crafted using traditional methods.
