Beer and muscles may not be the best of friends, but it was actually at the gym where the story of Stern Brewery began. While lifting weights, brewer Mike (Michael Stern) would constantly talk about how he wanted to make a living brewing beer. For the past few months, he had been doing nothing but experimenting with and refining one top-fermented beer after another. Wherever he took his beer, friends, acquaintances, and strangers alike praised it. And so Kamil, a friend and marketer, agreed under the pressure of the bench press to launch their own beer brand. They managed to buy second-hand brewing equipment, and now they have their own brewery in Brno. They’re gradually touring festivals and introducing the public to their beers.
