Polly's 13° Solo Sailing Pale Ale

Polly's 13° Solo Sailing Pale Ale

Solo Sailing offers a trio of hops that represent the main waves of craft beer as they followed each other. Flagged by the forefathers of the craft beer movement, Centennial hops carry the grassy, resinous qualities that form the basis of this pleasantly bitter beer. The second wave from the early to mid-nineties of the last century is represented by Citra with tones of freshly cut citrus fruits that burst at the seams in the beer. The final flourish of the new wave with modern fruit juices is represented by Talus hops with heavy tropical notes and whispers of coconut and dried roses. More

About the brewery:
North Wales craft brewery Polly's Brew Co was founded in 2019 by Sean Wheldon on a family farm. The name of the brewery refers to their horse Polly and they initially brewed the beer in his former stable. From humble beginnings of brewing once every eleven days and bottling three times a month, they quickly grew to three members within the first six months and moved across the yard from the Polly stable to a larger workshop. The reputation of the brewery has grown by leaps and bounds and it has become the highest rated brewery in Wales and is also considered one of the highest rated breweries in the whole of the UK. He brews cooperatives with breweries such as Northern Monk, Cloudwater and Verdant. Sean prides himself on serving modern beer in North Wales, including premium IPAs, Pale Ales, lagers, sours, stouts and more. They are set to open their first tap room in their hometown of Mold in early 2025.
