Põhjala 14° Kuusk IPA

Põhjala 14° Kuusk IPA

A resinous and spicy IPA brewed with American hops and Estonian spruce tips. The aroma is bold and resinous, with notes of freshly cut lime fruit and spring spruce shoots. It initially has a citrusy touch with grapefruit peel and lemon, which is later complemented by resinous spruce notes and hop bitterness. As the beer settles on the palate, its intense resinous character subsides, leaving room for a sponge cake and a subdued malty sweetness. More

About the brewery:

Põhjala (translated as "North") is currently one of the best craft breweries in the world and its popularity is growing rapidly in Europe. Based in Tallinn, Estonia since 2013, it is made up of a team of beer enthusiasts who brew their beers in a 12 hl brewhouse. Their beers are among the more expensive, but they definitely surprise with their quality and labels. Their head brewer is Chris Pilkington, a former Brewdog brewer who also has his own coffee roaster in Tallinn. He is not afraid of experiments at all and combines his stouts and porters with anything he can think of. Experienced beer sommeliers claim that their porters are the best in the world!
