Oskar-Blues Tropic Mutant IPA

Oskar-Blues Tropic Mutant IPA

Experimental IPA from Series IV. It is an India Pale Ale with natural flavors. Unpredictable evolution has produced another strange mutation. Its aroma is fruity, floral and with notes of nectar, with soft wood and a little plum. The taste is floral, fruity, slightly herbal, with subtle notes of basil and oregano, as well as nice citrus and zest. It's not that bitter, but the basil and oregano notes add a nice touch to the beer. More

About the brewery:
Oskar Blues is an American craft brewery with 4 locations in Colorado, North Carolina and Texas. They started as a brewpub in 1997, brewing beer in the basement. In 2002, they became one of the first to bottle craft beer in cans. The design of their cans embodies the spirit of Oskar Blues. It's bold, cheeky, inspiring, decorated with stars and stripes around the logo. This retains the funky font style from the brewery's early days when they operated as a music bar. They later expanded to branches that operate as both breweries and taprooms.Their first beer was Dale's Pale Ale, which brewery founder Dale Katechis first brewed in a bathtub when he was a student at Auburn University. In 2005, this ale was awarded "Best Pale Ale" by the New York Times. Their original location, Oskar Blues Grill and Brew, is still located in Lyon, where they have 45 beers on tap. The brewery also produces a popular Hard Seltzer called Wild Basin Boozy Sparkling Water.
