O'Hara's 11° Irish Red Ale

About the brewery:
O`Hara`s/Carlow Brewery is an independent Irish family brewery founded in 1996. It is located in Carlow in the Barrow Valley, a traditional Irish hop and barley growing area. The brewery is located in a former warehouse by the station and the advantage of this location is that it has very hard water which is suitable for brewing ales. Their first beer was an Irish stout, which is still a best seller. However, the brewery also has quite a wide portfolio of other top-fermented beers for which they have won awards at beer competitions. It also produces ciders. The brewery's output has been growing steadily and in 2017 it was taken into ownership by Spain's Hijos de Rivera, the company behind beers such as Estrella Galicia. Seamus O'Hara is also the founder of the Irish Craft Beer & Cider Festival, which has been held annually since 2011.
