About the brewery:
Belgian brewery Lindemans - our heart's affair. A family-run brewery in a small village surrounded by fragrant orchards and fields, in the unique biotope of the Zenne river valley. Beer was brewed there before the first hose was bought in Germany. As Lindemans themselves like to say, "We've been brewing beer since the dawn of time". And mind you, it was traditionally brewed by women while the men worked in the fields. Lindemans beer holds a bit of a secret. There's a unique yeast that flies in the air that allows people in the area to brew a unique style of lambic. The beer is poured overnight into open vats, where it is infected with Brettanomyces yeast and then aged for a year or more in oak barrels. If fruit is added (raspberries, strawberries, cherries, peaches), you can now taste something you've never had before. As soon as a lady in our store says "I don't drink beer", we shove a fruit lambic in her hand and it's ours forever. Lindemans forever.
