About the brewery:
Halfway between Prague and Karlovy Vary, the Krusovice Royal Brewery is located near the road, and thanks to the fame of the royal beer, it is an attractive tourist destination for visitors to the Czech Republic. The brewery was founded in 1581 by Rudolph II. and belonged to the royal crown. The famous Musketyr beer has been brewed here since 1620. Several important noble families then gradually took turns in ownership of the brewery. Thanks to its location near the trade routes from German lands to Prague and the availability of domestic raw materials of barley, hops and high-quality boiling water from the Krivoklat Forest, the brewery developed very favorably. It was nationalized after the Second World War. In 1994, the company was bought by Radeberger Gruppe and continued to modernize. In 2007, the Dutch Heineken group bought the brewery. The standard assortment of the brewery is Lager, Royal Dark, Musketyr and Weizen.
