Kernel 11° Dry Stout Summit
Dry Stout is the heart of The Kernel Brewery's dark beers. Brewed with layered malts of Maris Otter, Brown, Black, Chocolate, Dark, Crystal, Carafa and Oats, it carries notes of roasted grain, dark chocolate and coffee. Bold kettle hops along with a hint of dry hopping lift the finish of the beer and give it a lively and subtle fruity note that contrasts beautifully with the spicy malt base. In this version, the stout is hopped with Summit hops, giving the beer notes of citrus, anise, pepper and a subtle earthiness. Read more

About the brewery:
The London brewery Kernel is among the top in England. Their approach is both thoughtful and simple. Sometimes they focus on the bold aromas, flavors and bitterness of the hops, other times on the complex heat and layers of roasted malts. Sometimes they favour the cleanliness and freshness of cold fermentation, or let the acidity, tannins and texture that come from mixed fermentation, barrel ageing and working with wild yeasts and bacteria guide them. Yet their philosophy has always been to seek simplicity and balance, which is what makes their beers so unique and approachable at the same time.
