About the brewery:
The brewery in Kacov nad Sazavou was founded as early as 1457 and had a rich history. It is thus one of the oldest in the Czech Republic and is still in the same place in the original medieval location. Beer is brewed under the Hubertus brand. In 1957, after five hundred years, beer production was stopped and the brewery was closed until 1992, when it was restored. Currently, it is a medium-sized regional brewery that brews beer in a traditional two-vessel copper brewhouse and ferments its lagers in a spilka. Part of the brewery is a beautiful brewery pub called Salanda and a hotel. Hubertus mainly brews lagers, both filtered and the popular unfiltered.
