About the brewery:
Since its founding in 2006, Giesinger Bräu has earned a reputation for excellent craft beer that combines the great Bavarian brewing tradition with innovative approaches. Under the leadership of founder Steffen Marx, Giesinger has gained popularity over the years with beers such as Erhellung (Bavarian pils), a range of craft beers and various luxury beers such as Sternhagel. The visionary Marx is convinced that his message is the right one. For ten years he has been at the helm of an impressive brewing project that began in a small garage in Untergiesing. Back in 2016, they were still brewing in a 30 hl brewhouse with 11,000 hectolitres of beer per year and had eleven employees. Now it is one of the most prominent players on the current Munich beer scene. It operates a large €20m brewery on the northern outskirts of Munich and produces around 40,000hl of beer a year. Much of the brewery's investment has come from crowdfunding, with 9,000 small investors contributing €10 million to help pay for the new brewery. Giesiner Bräu has thus become the largest crowdfunding project in Germany in the food and beverage sector.

Giesinger is also one of seven breweries that are allowed to produce beer with the Münchner Hell label. Will it one day have its own tent on the Wiesn?

Martin and James were bored with the industrially brewed lagers and uninteresting ales being sold in Britain, so they decided to sort it out. From this idea, BrewDog was born in April 2007. They were only 24 years old when they rented a building in Fraserburgh and started making hardcore homebrews. Gradually, the popularity of their beer increased to its current stellar level. There was a brewery stock subscription and the gradual opening of Brewdog bars all over the world. In 2016, they brewed a total of 82 beers and shipped them to over 60 countries. Two years later, the world's first craft beer hotel arrives! Right next door to the Columbus, Ohio brewery, they are opening The Doghouse as well as their own beer museum. They open two of the largest and most iconic bars in Waterloo Station and Las Vegas. Of course, we can't leave them out of our list because they are a must try for every member of the craft beer community.
