About the brewery:
Ronald de Waal aka The Flying Dutchman is a true nomadic brewer. With over 20 years of experience, he is one of the torchbearers of the craft beer movement. He has brewed beers in Finland, Holland and Belgium and has always worked with the best craft breweries. He enjoys wandering the road from one brewery to another and dreaming up exciting new beer recipes. Originally from Holland, he married into Finland after studying food technology. There he found himself missing interesting beers, so he decided to start brewing them. It was 1994 and the beer that fans still fondly remember was called Bergzigt. It was stronger and hoppier than anything on the market. He built his own brewery, but then found that the wandering life was what he enjoyed most, so he went the way of the flying brewery. He currently brews his beers under the Finnish flag in several Belgian breweries. But he's a Dutchman.
