The brewery is located in Appelhoek á Melle and the first mention of the brewery or the brewing of beer dates back to 1654. The brewery is part of the Belgian holding Belgian Family Brewers. The brewery has a capacity of 148 000 hectolitres and is currently expanding and increasing its capacity.
