About the brewery:
The family brewery Bernard is located in Humpolec, where it continues the tradition of brewing beer dating back to 1597. The modern history of the brewery began in 1991, when it was auctioned off in a dilapidated state by Stanislav Bernard, Josef Vávra and Rudolf Šmejkal. Since then, the brewery has undergone extensive modernisation, won numerous awards and become a symbol of honest Czech beer. It has introduced a number of innovations, including the first semi-dark non-alcoholic beer in the Czech Republic, original retro bottles and microbiological filtration without pasteurization. The brewery owns its own malting plant, exports abroad and produces 16 types of beer under the Bernard brand, including gluten-free and top-fermented Bohemian Ale. The brand is also known for its original campaigns and emphasis on quality, tradition and sustainability.
