About the producer:
In 2013, they revived cider production in a former distillery in Vizovice, continuing the family tradition of fruit beverage production started by Antonín Kalenda in 1928. A.K. Cider is an alternative for customers who like to try something new. They produce a beverage from apple cider made from local apple varieties, just as the generations before them did. Their main rule is not to interfere with what nature does best when fermenting fruit cider. They use fruit from chemically untreated trees in Vizovice and the surrounding area, working in harmony with nature, with respect for tradition, and with innovation for the future—planting trees of long-lived Wallachian varieties and maintaining old orchards.
